Demolition and disposal of the Pan Am Barge includes but is not limited to the following: <br /> 1. Using appropriate safe practices, accept Pan Am Barge and proceed with its demolition and <br /> disposal in a suitable manner. <br /> 2. This is a turn key project therefore the contractor is responsible for conducting a thorough site <br /> survey and inspection of the Pan Am Barge, obtain all insurance and permits,meet all <br /> regulatory requirements and execute in a safe manner. <br /> Protection of Propertv/Public Safetv <br /> Contractor will do the following when completing Scope of Work and Services: <br /> 1- Confine operations at site to areas permitted by contract documents. <br /> 2- Do not encumber site with excessive material or equipment. The work site is in the proximity of <br /> the marina entrance. Proposer shall include all traffic control and at no time prohibit safe access <br /> to the marina by the marina users. <br /> 3- Do not impose any load on any pier, dock or structure that will damage or endanger structure. <br /> 4- Take precautions necessary to prevent annoyance to and maintain privacy of occupants adjacent <br /> to or in the vicinity of the work. <br /> 5- Contractor is solely responsible for conditions of the job site, including safety of all persons, the <br /> environment and property during performance of work. This requirement will apply continuously <br /> and will not be limited to normal working hours. Safety and sanitary provisions shall conform to <br /> applicable Federal, State, County, and local laws, regulations, ordinances, standards, and codes. <br /> Where any of these are in conflict the more stringent requirement shall be followed. All public <br /> and private property shall be safely guarded from injury or loss in connection with this contract <br /> by the Contractor at all times. Should any facility, structure, or property be damaged during <br /> operations of the Contractor, he/she shall immediately notify the proper owner or authorities. <br /> 6- The Contractor at his/her expense, shall rebuild, repair, restore, and make good to the City's <br /> satisfaction all injuries and damages resulting from his/her operations. <br /> 7- During performance of the work, the Contractor shall erect and maintain necessary temporary <br /> fences, bridges, lights, barriers, or other safeguards (at Contractor's expense) as shall be <br /> appropriate under the circumstances in his/her judgment for the prevention of accidents; and <br /> he/she shall take other precautions as necessary for public safety. <br /> 8- The Contractor shall keep a daily log of all staff and workers, including contact information,that <br /> enter the marina. <br /> ATTY/AGR/2014.166/SILVERADO CONTRACTORS-PAM AM BARGE REMOVAL <br /> REV:09-09-14 VR <br /> Page 8 of 8 <br />
