A large portion of this amount will be "cost recoverable" due <br /> to reimbursement agreements with applicants. This Amendment Number 2 would <br /> include the services provided in the initial agreement and Amendment Number 1 along <br /> with new services for a contract Principal Planner to provide high -level professional <br /> planning services. Principal Planner work will primarily be focused on project <br /> management of several large development projects (all of which are cost recoverable). <br /> This increases the total compensation for these professional services to $259,995.00. <br /> ALTERNATIVES <br /> Do not authorize the execution of Amendment Number 2 to the Neal Martin & <br /> Associates, Inc. agreement. This will reduce customer service levels at the One -Stop <br /> Counter and extend timelines for Planning Division project review for several major <br /> projects. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> The cost for contract Assistant Planners would be funded through the General Fund, but <br /> salary savings as a result from recent staff vacancies in the Community Development <br /> Department would reduce the impact to the General Fund. Furthermore, exiting staff will <br /> be able to focus on the management of development applications, most of which are <br /> cost recoverable.
