Understanding of the Engagement <br /> We understand the City has a need for expert financial advice and additional capacity for high <br /> priority projects. Examples of the types of assignments include a water bond refinancing, <br /> negotiating banking services agreements, and the potential of establishing financing for a <br /> maintenance district. This need may extend for six months, with assistance desired <br /> approximately two to three days a week. <br /> We will assign Hossein Golestan to this engagement. His qualifications are attached. Hossein <br /> will work for and at the direction of Management Partners, while providing expert consulting <br /> advice and services to your satisfaction. Management Partners will provide all insurance, <br /> training and administrative support (including company equipment) as necessary during the <br /> assignment. Our commitment is to provide continuous and seamless management services to <br /> you during this transition period. <br /> In addition to Hossein, Management Partners has several other consultants who can provide <br /> advice to the City of Redwood City, as needed. <br /> Fee Proposal <br /> Management Partners will provide interim management consulting services on an hourly rate <br /> plus expenses. During this engagement, the actual consultant hours will be reimbursed by the <br /> City at a rate of $125 per hour for Hossein Golestan, plus travel expenses. This is a discounted <br /> rate in recognition of the anticipated duration of this project. We anticipate travel expenses to <br /> consist of mileage. Other consultants will be provided on an as-needed basis as requested by <br /> the City at their regular hourly rates, ranging from $55 to $250 per hour depending on the <br /> individual assigned to the project. Hourly rates are subject to periodic adjustment on a company- <br /> wide basis. We propose a not-to-exceed contract in the amount of $60,000 for consulting <br /> assistance. <br /> We appreciate the opportunity to be of assistance to the City of Redwood City.
