Initial meetings ha�re been held with the lajndscape architectural firm of Singer & Hodges relative to the preliminary sketches. Further engineering data is being collected for them in order tha.t they might praceed with this ' work in greater detail . ` Proposals from several electricallengineering firms have now been received relative to the design of the new 7ighting for the Sechet-Griffin athletic fields. These proposals are currently 4eing reviewed by the staff and a selection committee from the Parks & Recreation Commission will be meet- ing in early April for reco�mtenddtions for the consultant to perform the work. A contract will then be ex�cut�d `and design work will soon be underway for the electrical design.. ' Redwood Shores � The occasional rain storms which have b�en experiertced during the month of March have delayed the comp.letion af ttie minor grad�ing work which remains prior to final acc,eptance of the work. As soon as the area dries sufficiently to allow equiprr�nt into the area, this will be com- pleted. The tennis coart lighting has been installed, inspected, and approved. Schedules for applying the �finished coating surface to the courts have also been delayed du�e to the rainy conditions. This work will be com- pleted as soon as weather permits and final inspection and acceptance will be made for the courts. Plans and specifications are currently being assembled to proceed with ' the calling for bids for the turfin� and landscaping for the new park areas commensurate with available funds to accomplish this landscaping of the area. � Palm Park The plans and specifications for the Palm Park project are now complete and have been assembled for Counc'il approva] and authorization to ca11 for bids. This request will be before the City Council at their meet- ing of April 10, 1978, and bids will be received by the �nd of April for this proposed work. -b-
