. . � �""�: <br /> . ,� . <br /> The Street Tree Section personnel also assisted the Sierra Club with their <br /> tree planting project in the City through advlice, coordination, and sight <br /> preparation. To date the volunteer effort has resulted in the planting <br /> of 11 Redwood trees on City maintained parkways. <br /> Park Supervisor Hernandez and Acting Supervisor Littlefield attended a <br /> meeting of the Dutch Elm Disease Steering Committee for San Mateo County <br /> at the County Agricultural Commissioner's Office on July 26, 1978. They <br /> are City representatives for the coordinated effort to arrest and eradicate <br /> this potentially serious problem in the area. <br /> During the first part of July, informational signs were mounted at each <br /> tennis court indicating that the lights on all of the tennis courts would <br /> no longer be available resultant from recent budget reductions. It is hoped <br /> that this service can be restored to the citizenry as soon as funds become <br /> available. <br /> ,7- <br />
