. -
plan of the park, redesign the park excluding the Hetch-Hetchy
Right-of-Way and fence the boundary line of the Hetch-Hetchy.
Commissioner Weintraub inquired how much maintenance would be
required on the park. Mr. Singer indicated that no matter how
much of the park is developed, it will still require maintenance.
Mr. Weeks indicated that approximately one-half a man year
would be required to maintain the park. Discussion continued
as to the possibility of completing and grading and planting
native grasses and wildflowers. Mr. Singer felt it would not
be feasible to do the grading throughout th park and let it
remain unfinished for any length of time n that when further
development began on the park, re-grading would need to be
done.
Mr. Singer felt the best option was to develop two or three
acres of the site between the stream and Glenwood Street including .
that portion of the Hetch-Hetchy Right-of-Way. Mr. Weeks agreed
this would be the least costly and most practical area for
initial work.
Mr. Weeks indicated that he has been requested to make a presentation
of the Commission's wishes on the project on August 7, 1978. He
- indicated that he could request a delay until the August 21 , 1978,
Council meeting.
Mr. Singer indicated he woiid prepare a sketch plan of the options
and present it to the Commission at the Regular Meeting fln August
9, 1978.
(CON4NISSIONER HAYES LEFT AT 9:41 P.M.)
MOTION: Commissioner Anderson moved, seconded by Commissioner
Weintraub to adjourn the meeting.
