The <br /> motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br /> REPORT ITEP1 l . OPERATIONAL POLICIES COMMITTEE <br /> This report item was discussed and approved in Agenda Item 3. <br /> REPORT ITEM 2. MONTHLY REPORTS <br /> Commissioner Weintraub voiced her concern on the high cost of vandalism <br /> occurring at the Fair Oaks Community Center and the amount of money the <br /> Department has paid to repair the damage and would be hopeful that San <br /> Mateo County is providing their fair share of the costs. <br /> Mr. Weeks indicated that the City Council has approved the transfer of <br /> the Canyon Park funds to the Community Park Swimming Pool Project at <br /> their August 7, Council meeting. An Ad-Hoc Committee was developed <br /> to discuss the transfer of the funds prior to the Council meeting. It <br /> was pointed out that Senator Roberti is preparing a bill for communities <br /> to transfer the State funds from one project to another in fiscal year <br /> 1978-79. Also at the Committee meeting, the Mayor, Vice-Mayor, and City <br /> Manager thought it might be possible to use some funds from the uncommit- <br /> ted reserves to build a small portion of Canyon Park. The figure of <br /> $50,000 was discussed as a manageable figure. Along with these funds <br /> it is understood that $22,000 would be available from SB174 (third incre- <br /> ment to the City) which would bring the total to approximately $72,000. <br /> Mr. 4Jeeks reviewed the proposed plans developed by Phil Singer for the <br /> development of Canyon Park. Mr. Weeks indicated that the Council would <br /> have to approve the proposed 1 .5 acre development and the amount of <br /> -5- <br />
