. . <br /> � � <br /> i,,,..� ,�� <br /> PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 13, 1978 <br /> The regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation Commission was called to <br /> order by Chairman Anderson at 7:45 p.m. , in the Conference Room of the <br /> Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City. <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Commissioners Anderson, Knecht, Schlesinger, <br /> Weintraub <br /> MEMBERS ABSENT: Commissioners Castle, Hayes, Pound <br /> (Commissioner Castle arrived at 7:49 p.m. ) <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Max C. Weeks, Parks & Recreation Director <br /> MOTION: Commissioner Schlesinger moved, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Knecht, to approve the minutes of <br /> the August 9, 1978, Regular Business Meeting. <br /> The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br /> AGENDA ITEM 1 . Critique of September 11 Park Facilities Tour <br /> Due to the cancellation of the Park Facilities Tour, this agenda item <br /> was not discussed. Commissioner Weintraub felt that if the Corrnnission <br /> wanted the tour, it would be best to choose a day when everyone could <br /> attend. <br /> (COMMISSIONER CASTLE ARRIVED AT 7:49 P.M. ) <br /> The Park Tour was rescheduled for Saturday, October 21 , at 9:00 a.m. <br /> It was the consensus of the Commission to move the October Commission <br /> Meeting from Wednesday, October 11 , to Wednesday, October 18, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> AGENDA ITEM 2. Discussion - Hoover Pool Operations <br /> Mr. Weeks indicated this item was placed on the agenda resultant from <br /> the recent rash of vandalism at Hoover Pool . He further indicated that <br /> last year half of the fencing at the pool was replaced in an attempt to <br /> combat the problem. <br /> Vandalism at the Pool was quite low last year as well as early this year; <br /> however, during the last half of this summer, vandalism was occurring <br /> early every night. <br /> -1- <br />
