Weeks, Parks & Recreation Director <br /> GUESTS PRESENT: Edwin D. Charlebais, 49Z Walsh Road, Atherton <br /> Simon D'Amico, 138 Beresford Avenue, Redwood City <br /> MOTION: Commissioner Pound moved, seconded by Commissioner <br /> Schlesinger, to approve the minutes of the October <br /> 18, 1978, Regular Business Meeting. The motion <br /> passed unanimously by voice vote. <br /> AGENDA ITEM 1 . Critique of October 21 Facilities Tour <br /> Mr. 6Jeeks alo►�g with the Commissioners present felt that the facility <br /> tour was very worthwhile. The tour covered all of the park areas in <br /> the City with a majority of the time spent in Canyon Park. <br /> Mr. Weeks indicated the Palm Park play apparatus and picnic tables and <br /> benches have been installed since the tour. <br /> AGENDA ITEM 2. Review Development Plans - Red Morton Park <br /> Mr. �Jeeks reviewed for the Cor!mission the construction drawings submitted <br /> by Phil Singer of Singer and Hodges, for the play apparatus and picnic <br /> areas at the west end of Red Morton Community Park. <br /> Mr. Weeks indicated the re-lighting of the multi-purpose fields appar- <br /> ently will be within budget expectations and the re-surfacing of the <br /> parking area at Dickey Street will most likely be eliminated. This will <br /> allow sufficient funds for the picnic facility and play apparatus area <br /> to be fully developed. <br /> The picnic area will provide barbeque facilities and picnic tables to <br /> serve a group of approximately 125. A reservation system might be pos- <br /> sible if weekend work schedules can be worked out. <br /> -1- <br />
