It was the wish of the Comr�iss�.o-� <br /> that flowers be sent and Mrs. Weintraub said she would be happy to purchase and deliver <br /> them. <br /> Minutes of the meeting of November 14, 1973, were approved as submitted. <br /> CQRBESPONDBNCE AND MISCELI,ASTEpUS <br /> 1. The Chairman expressed his appreciation ta Staff and the Cuttural Cou�►ission o:! <br /> learning that the Cultural Co�nission will be working with them on the Red Morr.o� <br /> Memorial. <br /> 2. Discussion of PrAVOSed Open Space sud Conseruation Element of the Aedwood Ci*•;� <br /> General Plan — <br /> Mr. Weeks explained the short period of time between cempletion of this plan <br /> by the Planning C�ission and the pubLic hearing. It was given .to Comanissl.on <br /> members so they mf�ht have an oppoxtuniCy to rev�ew and bring their suggestions <br /> to :the Council. Mr. Guida questioned why the Planniz�g Coaanission prepares plans <br /> on parks rather than the Park and Recreation Commission. Mr.. Weeic$ explained <br /> that the Planning Commisaion is charged with the responsibility of preparir_g alI <br /> of the elements of the General Plan. There is no intent to exclude the Park and <br /> Recreation C�ission. The Open Space Blement is much Che �ame as that af the <br /> Park and Secreation E2ement of the General Plan of 1966. The primary reason <br />
