'
PARK DIVISION MONTHLY REPORT
FEBRUARY 1976
Foreman: Peter Griffiths
Building and Facility maintenance personnel have ben involved in the
following projects during the month of January: removal of 1300' of cyclone
fence and posts adjacent to the 49er Field, renovation, repair and painting
of playground equipment at Spinas, LeBlanc, Linden, and Maddux Parks, and
repair of numerous sprinkler system components damaged by vandals at Redwood
Shores.
Park Foreman Griffiths met with several contractors during the month to dis-
cuss the feasibility of constructing an overhead crane for removal of the
filter pit pump at Hoover School . This additional system is required to comply
with OSHA regulations.
Joining the Park Division staff during the month of January were John G. Weston
as a Building Maintenanceman I, and Robert J. Mullins as a Tree Trimmer. Mr.
Weston was formerly employed as a journeyman plumber for 27 years and has a '
very extensive background in industrial and home plumbing systems. Mr. Mullins
was formerly employed by the Park and Recreation Department but left the City
to accept the position of Tree Trimmer Leadman with the City of Pacifica.
Recently the City of Pacifica suffered financial problems and was forced to
reduce the work force. Mr. Mullins brings to the Division an extensive back-
ground of arboricultural knowledge and experience in addition to being a very
capable climber.
File 21 .1
-?-
