advisors , leaders and the administration and P . T . A . Bingo , relay races and a <br /> sock hop highlighted the month . The PTA is running an article in their news - <br /> letter about the noontime programs and about Center activities . <br /> Kennedy Junior High <br /> Continued efforts are being made to work with the Student Council . Activities <br /> included kite -making , Craft Day and dances . The highlight of the month was <br /> the variety show consisting of eight acts and 600 spectators . <br /> Veterans Memorial Building <br /> The Camellia Show was held on February 13 , 14 and 15 . Redwood City Community <br /> Theater ' s production of " BoyFriend " opened on February 27 and 28 and continues <br /> through March 13 . This is a musical comedy of the Twenties and should provide an <br /> evening of good entertainment . <br /> Special Ed Program <br /> February 18 through March 31 , and February 19 through April 1 are the next <br /> session periods for the Special Ed children in the elementary schools . Wednesday <br /> sessions are at Roosevelt School and Thursdays are at the Red Morton Center . <br /> Activities include low organized games , soccer and basketball skills , cooking , <br /> crafts , etc . On April 7 and 8 , the final sessions will begin at Washington and <br /> Roosevelt Schools and continue for eight weeks . During these last sessions we are <br /> trying to recruit volunteers from the senior population to work along with <br /> the regular staff to provide help in storytelling , reading , etc . The children <br /> are really enjoying themselves and benefitting from the program . <br />
