7.1.D. - Page 6 <br /> said that the Bike Share Program is a pilot and it is continuously being monitored. She <br /> provided information on the monthly fee as well. <br /> Mayor Gee said that the Bike Share is part of a larger pilot program including the Last <br /> Mile project which is important and valuable for those who use public/shared <br /> transportation. <br /> M/S Seybert/Aguirre to adopt the Ordinance. Motion carried unanimously by <br /> electronic vote with Council Members Howard and Pierce absent. <br /> One Council Member opined that increasing parking supply will also need to be an <br /> option on the horizon versus controlling parking options. <br /> M/S Aguirre/Foust to adopt the Resolution to establish a City Car Share Program. <br /> Motion carried unanimously by electronic vote with Council Members Howard <br /> and Pierce absent. <br /> M/S Foust/Bain to adopt the Resolution to establish an Electric-Charging Parking <br /> Program. Motion carried unanimously by electronic vote with Council Members <br /> Howard and Pierce absent. <br /> 9. STAFF REPORT(S) - None. <br /> 10. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br /> A. City Council Member Reports of Conferences Attended <br /> Vice Mayor Foust said that it is important that we encourage employers to have child <br /> care on campus. She believes this is part of the community benefits discussion. <br /> Council Member Aguirre attended the League of CA Board Members training and the <br /> priorities are coming out very soon so stay tune for the Leagues' priorities. <br /> Council Member Seybert said he represented the Council at a recent C/CAG meeting. <br /> He also attended the Redwood City San Mateo County Chambers Leadership Class <br /> where Council Member Aguirre presented this last Friday and he really enjoyed the <br /> class and the presentations and the community representation. <br /> Council Member Bain attended a reception honoring the McNevins for their philanthropy <br /> and he noted that in Redwood City they restored the Fitzgerald Building. He presented <br /> on behalf of the City Council, a proclamation for their active involvement in the <br /> communities they serve and it was a very good event. <br /> Mayor Gee congratulated the First United Methodist Church for its 150th Anniversary <br /> and he enjoyed the celebration. <br /> Mayor Gee thanked Vice Mayor Foust, City Manager Bell, Assistant City Manager <br /> Ekern and Police Chief Gamez, for the recent trip to our Sister City Zhuhai, in China. <br /> He said it was great hanging out with other Sister Cities and learning that in similar size <br /> cities the issues are not that different. <br /> SPECIAL JOINT CITY COUNCIL/SUCCESSOR AGENCY BOARD November 17, 2014 <br /> MEETING MINUTES PAGE 6 <br />
