S <br /> r <br /> REDWOOD CITY PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> MEETING OF JULY 14 , 1976 <br /> The regular meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission was called to <br /> order at 7 : 35 p . m . , in Conference Room 1 of the Community Activities <br /> Building , 1400 Roosevelt Avenue , Redwood City . <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT : Commissioners Knecht , Pound , Weintraub , Aldrich , <br /> Rollins , Schlesinger , and William Buckhout <br /> MEMBERS ABSENT : None . <br /> STAFF PRESENT : Director Max C . Weeks <br /> Park Superintendent Pasco Balzarini <br /> Recreation Supervisor Don Burtz <br /> GAP STUDENTS : None <br /> MOTION : Commissioner Rollins moved to accept and approve <br /> the minutes of the June 9 , 1976 Regular Business <br /> Meeting , seconded by Commissioner Weintraub . The <br /> motion carried by voice vote . <br /> CORRESPONDENCE : Newsletter from California Parks and Recreation <br /> Society announcing various workshops . <br /> Letter from the Sequoia Yacht Club re : the Port <br /> Development Program . <br /> Commissioner Weintraub asked whether the Commission would have an oppor- <br /> tunity to respond to areas of interest as expressed in the letter from the <br /> Sequoia Yacht Club . Mr . Weeks responded that there will be a joint meeting <br /> of the Port Commission and the City Council on Thursday , July 22 , at 4 : 00 p . m . , <br /> at the Port Office . The meeting will be open to the public and Commission <br /> members may wish to attend . <br /> Commissioner Knecht asked how the staff feels about the questions asked <br /> concerning Port expansion in the letter since the Yacht Club is a private <br /> club . Mr . Weeks said that existing Port and Marina expansion plans intend <br /> to provide for Yacht club facilities and needs . <br /> - 1 - <br />
