� ' irr✓ '"�". <br /> �,<�,� <br /> RECREATION DIVISION R10NTHLY REPORTS <br /> SEPTEIIBER 1976 <br /> COMh1UNITY LEISURE SERViCES <br /> � Elementary Sports (K-6) <br /> � — <br /> Signups were held for our second season of our revairped flag football <br /> and volleyball programs. Teams are formed by grade level and coaches <br /> are assigned to those school sites where registration figures are the <br /> greatest. Currently, nine boys flag football teams have been formed <br /> on the 4th and 5th (combined) level with 172 participants (maximum <br /> roster limit is 180). On the 6th grade boys level , seven teams have <br /> been organized with 103 participants (maximum participant level is 140). <br /> A total of sixteen boys teams have been formed this year. This team <br /> total is identical to last year. <br /> The girls vollyeball registrations have increased over last year's <br /> totals. Currently, eight teams have been formed which is an increase <br /> of two teams from last year. A total of 84 players have begun league <br /> play. <br /> Junior High (7-8) <br /> The same registration process has been held on the Junior High Level <br /> for boys flag football and girls volleyball . While reyistrations <br /> are slower than on the �lementary level , they appear to be comparable <br /> to last year. The registration fee for each sport is $3.00 (up from <br /> $2.00 last year). <br /> Ten boys flag football teams have been currently organized or the same <br /> as last year (130 participants). <br /> � Ei ht ' <br /> g girls volleyball teams have been organized with 85 participants. <br /> This total is lower than the ten teams that were organized last year. <br /> In summary, the total number of teams on a city-wide basis remains <br /> equal to last year's totals . <br /> The current player partici;�ation totals have increased because rosters <br /> are approximately 85% completed. (578 in 1976 as compared to 520 in <br /> 1975. ) <br /> -13- <br />
