REDWOOD CITY PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> MEETING OF OCTOBER 13 , 1976 <br /> The regular meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission was called <br /> to order by Chairperson Pound at 7 : 34 p . m . , in Conference Room 1 of <br /> the Community Activities Building , 1400 Roosevelt Avenue , Redwood City . <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT : Commissioners Buckhout , Knecht , Pound , Weintraub , <br /> Schlesinger ( 1 vacancy ) <br /> MEM, LRS ABSENT : Commissioner Rollins <br /> STAFF PRESENT : Director Max C . Weeks <br /> Park Superintendent Pasco Balzarini <br /> Recreation Superintendent Bill Paulson <br /> Administrative Assistant Tom Ferrando <br /> GAP STUDENTS : Tim Anderson , Phil Powell , Michael Bartol , <br /> Dana Watts <br /> CITIZENS PRESENT : Mr . & Mrs . S . E . Trozdon , Sunnyvale <br /> Mr . & Mrs . Harold Stern , San Carlos <br /> Mr . & Mrs . Warren Weinstock , Redwood City <br /> Rupert Taylor , Belmont <br /> MOTION : Commissioner Weintraub moved to accept and approve <br /> the minutes of the September 8 , 1976 Regular Busi - <br /> ness Meeting , seconded by Commissioner Buckhout . <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote . <br /> AGENDA ITEM 1 . Presentation of Film of Red Morton Park Opening , June 5 , <br /> 1976 - Peninsula Movie Makers <br /> Mr . Harold Stern , past president of the Peninsula Movie Makers , intro- <br /> duced the various members of the club present and indicated that the <br /> club had been affiliated with the Parks and Recreation Department for <br /> almost ten years . He said that the Peninsula Movie Makers had wanted <br /> to make the film of the park opening and present it to the Department <br /> as a gift to demonstrate the club ' s public minded spirit . Mr . Stern <br /> then introduced Mr . Rupert Taylor , also a past president , and indicated <br /> that Mr . Taylor had provided 90% of the effort in the production of the <br /> film , by actually taking the footage , editing it , putting sound to it <br /> and making the titles . Mr . Taylor then showed the film . <br /> - 1 - <br />
