RECREATION DIVISION MONTHLY REPORT DECEMBER 1976 CENTER OPERATIONS & SPECIAL INTEREST CLASSES Many of the co- sponsored clubs and other groups scheduled the Community Activities Building and the Veterans Building for their Christmas parties . Weekends were also heavily scheduled prior to Christmas , The Sequoia Stamp Club held their annual stamp show at the Community Activities Building on December 4 and 5 , and it was well attended . Pinocchio was performed by members of the Redwood City Community Theater on December 18 and 19 at the Veterans Building with excellent audiences at all the performances . Wertman the Wonderful Wizard provided magical entertainment for Redwood City children on Thursday , December 30 , at the Veterans Building . The show was open to all for 75¢ . Red Morton Center McKinley-Hoover Programs went well during the first two weeks of December . Some activi - ties offered during noon time were carroms and dart tournaments and a turkey shoot day . On the last day on campus , candy canes were distri - buted and everyone was wished a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year . Kennedy A noon activities program will start at Kennedy on January 4 , 1977 . The initial activity will be a disco dance class on Tuesdays . The class will be held in the girls PE room , The program has been approved by the Administration . Tuesday & Wednesday Recreation Nights Only two recreation nights have been held this month because of build- ing maintenance and the holidays . However , the interest in the program is increasing and the new year should see increased participation . Volunteer Christmas Party Over 45 participants enjoyed the 2nd Annual Volunteer Party . Spaghetti , salad , french bread and clot of goodies made dinner possible ; christmas games were played and carols were sung . Santa Claus showed up and gave each volunteer a christmas cheer and wished everyone a Merry Christmas . -10-
