REDWOOD CITY PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING OF DECEMBER 8 , 1976 The regular meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission was called to order by Chairperson Pound at 7 : 36 p . m . , in Conference Room 1 of the Community Activities Building , 1400 Roosevelt Avenue , Redwood City . MEMBERS PRESENT : Commissioners Anderson , Buckhout , Pound , Weintraub ( 1 vacancy ) MEMBERS ABSENT : Commissioners Knecht , Schlesinger STAFF PRESENT : Director Max C . Weeks Superintendent Pasco Balzarini Superintendent Bill Paulson Administrative Assistant Tom Ferrando Marc Weiss , Planning Department CITIZEN PRESENT : Thea Vondracek , 1604 Jefferson Avenue MOTION : Commissioner Weintraub moved to accept the minutes of the November 10 , 1976 Regular Business Meeting , seconded by Commissioner Buckhout . The following correction was made to the Open Space Committee Report of November 16 , 1976 : Page 6 - Paragraph 3 : After the phrase , " additional input from the " , add : " Middle- field " . The motion carried unanimously by voice vote . Chairperson Pound indicated that the Commission had received an invi - tation to the quarterly meeting and installation dinner of the Bay Area Parks and Recreation Commissioners Council . A discussion ensued with respect to reservations . It was decided that each Commissioner would be responsible for his or her own reservations , Chairperson Pound stated that she had received the ballot for the Board of Directors of the Bay Area Parks and Recreation Commissioners Council . She inquired as to whether the Commission was allowed only one vote or whether each individual Commissioner was allowed a vote . Mr . Weeks indicated that he was not familiar with the Council bylaws , but suggested that since only one ballot had been received , it would appear that the Commission as a whole was allowed one vote . - 1 -
