• <br /> CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> April 3 , 1975 Page 2 <br /> It was suggested that groups and individuals invited to present <br /> plans for the mural be asked to consider designs that will be <br /> as "vandal-proof" as possible . When the construction is close <br /> to being finished , a subcommittee will be appointed to decide <br /> on ground rules for the design competition. <br /> Mr . Vollmayer then referred to the forthcoming Quilt Show and <br /> said quilts are now on display at the library and will remain <br /> until the end of April . <br /> REPORTS : <br /> 1 . Quilting Show 4/26-27 : Mrs . Groberg said more than <br /> fifty entries have been received . Joyce , Annette , <br /> and Marcia will assist in checking in the quilts on <br /> the morning of the show. A sign announcing that the <br /> show is in progress will be placed in front of the <br /> building. Mrs . Groberg thanked Mrs . Smith for her <br /> assistance with this project. <br /> 2 . San Mateo County Choral Society Concert 5/4 : Mr . Weeks <br /> reported that plans are near completion for the concert <br /> and everything seems to be going well . <br /> OTHER: <br /> 1 . Mrs . Poncia announced that the Jordan Arts Show will <br /> be held Saturday , May 10 , and they will appreciate <br /> having one or more members of the Commission jury the <br /> show. Mrs . Groberg and Mr . Dragan will serve . <br /> 2 . Mr . Buickerood will attend the Community Arts Agencies <br /> Seminar in San Diego . <br /> 3 . Mr. Weeks said the San Mateo County Arts Council is <br /> interested in developing and funding a program for <br /> the new center at Filoli . <br /> There will be a meeting of the Council Tuesday , April 8 , <br /> at 141 Borel Avenue , San Mateo , to review application <br /> for funds from the National Endowments for the Arts . <br /> The proposed project is to organize a Multicultural <br /> Task Force composed of a racially diverse group of <br /> visual and performing artists who will move about <br /> the county community performing , advising , teaching , <br /> and generally stimulating new and vital arts and <br /> cultural activities . <br />
