• CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION Minutes of Meeting April 3 , 1975 Page 2 It was suggested that groups and individuals invited to present plans for the mural be asked to consider designs that will be as "vandal-proof" as possible . When the construction is close to being finished , a subcommittee will be appointed to decide on ground rules for the design competition. Mr . Vollmayer then referred to the forthcoming Quilt Show and said quilts are now on display at the library and will remain until the end of April . REPORTS : 1 . Quilting Show 4/26-27 : Mrs . Groberg said more than fifty entries have been received . Joyce , Annette , and Marcia will assist in checking in the quilts on the morning of the show. A sign announcing that the show is in progress will be placed in front of the building. Mrs . Groberg thanked Mrs . Smith for her assistance with this project. 2 . San Mateo County Choral Society Concert 5/4 : Mr . Weeks reported that plans are near completion for the concert and everything seems to be going well . OTHER: 1 . Mrs . Poncia announced that the Jordan Arts Show will be held Saturday , May 10 , and they will appreciate having one or more members of the Commission jury the show. Mrs . Groberg and Mr . Dragan will serve . 2 . Mr . Buickerood will attend the Community Arts Agencies Seminar in San Diego . 3 . Mr. Weeks said the San Mateo County Arts Council is interested in developing and funding a program for the new center at Filoli . There will be a meeting of the Council Tuesday , April 8 , at 141 Borel Avenue , San Mateo , to review application for funds from the National Endowments for the Arts . The proposed project is to organize a Multicultural Task Force composed of a racially diverse group of visual and performing artists who will move about the county community performing , advising , teaching , and generally stimulating new and vital arts and cultural activities .
