"
In conjunction with the latter show , some of the mosaics and
jewelry will be on sale .
Mr. Nemoyten said that if the Commission would like to make use
of the Corridor Gallery at the Hall of Justice for a particular
period of the year , it could be arranged . It is a series of free
" brown bag" musical presentations beginning June 3 and extending
through September 16. The public is invited to bring a bag
lunch and enjoy the programs. Artists are paid a small honor-
arium from a • small funding. Groups are not paid because of
insufficient funds .
The Neighborhood Arts program in target areas are receiving
grants from the County Arts Council for Arts and Crafts. If
CET. funds are available for personnel , present grants will be
used for materials . . Some volunteers will assist with the proa
gram.
The County Spirit program , based on the National Endowment for
the Arts City Spirit program , invites arts commissions throughout
the county to find innovative ways and means to make the arts
available to more people . Plans include having various com-
missions and councils work on cooperative projects and to
encourage other cities to organize their own commissions . The
largest part of the program ,was the formation of a multicultural
task force to teach , organize and perform , thereby stimulating
