Buickerood said <br /> that when some of these activities get started , <br /> the Commission will offer its assistance . <br /> 8 ) Investigate the possibility of obtaining traveling <br /> art exhibits for Redwood City. <br /> The objectives chosen for priority consideration are as <br /> follows : <br /> 1 ) Downtown Spring Concerts <br /> 2 ) Community-wide Art Show Downtown <br /> 3 ) Use of Fox Theater or Sequoia High School Auditorium <br /> 4 ) Acquisition of Portable Stage for Performing Groups <br /> 5 ) Main City Library Mural <br /> OTHER : <br /> 1 ) Mr . Weeks mentioned that the Council has extended <br /> the time for recruitment for the Commission . <br /> 2 ) Mr . Buickerood mentioned that the Peninsula Hills <br /> Women ' s Club is having a Bicentennial School <br /> Children ' s Art Show in October at the Lincoln <br /> School . <br /> 3 ) Mr . Weeks announced the tentative date for dedi- <br /> cation of the Red Morton Memorial is October 5 at <br /> 2 : 00 , p . m . Around the first of March , a Community <br /> Day is planned at the Park in which the Commission <br /> may wish to have a part, <br /> 4 ) Mrs . Kennedy was requested to determine whether <br /> history of Redwood City is taught in the Redwood City <br /> schools . <br /> 5 ) Mrs . Poncia was requested to mention to the Downtown <br /> Association that the Fire Department ' s collection of <br /> historical items might be displayed during the Bi - <br /> centennial year . <br />
