CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION Minutes of Meeting September 4 , 1975 Page 2 creek ran in the area of " Canelloni Alley" . It was proposed that blue tile be used in this area to represent the old creek , a couple of simulated pilings on the curbside , and a plaque to mark the site . He said there will be three kiosks throughout the downtown area which will display a walking- tour map and will highlight the old creek area , It was the Commission ' s consensus that the Redwood City site-marking concept is good and that Mrs . Poncia should attend the Downtown Action Committee meeting and indicate the Commission ' s approval . Mr . Buickerood thanked the guests for their presentation and turned to the evening ' s Agenda . AGENDA ITEM 1 -- Committee Assignments : Mr . Buickerood - Architectural Review Committee Mrs . Kennedy - Park & Recreation Commission Mrs . Poncia - to receive Minutes of the Planning Commission and recommend Commission attendance at their meetings when it appears necessary. AGENDA ITEM 2 - Goals and Objectives : 1 ) Keeping of a Master Calendar of Community Activities 2 ) Showmobile - Apparently the P . C . A . is not working on this currently° 3 ) Use of Sequoia High School Auditorium or the Fox Theater . Mrs . Poncia will take this item up with the Downtown Association to see whether someone there would be interested in serving on a sub- committee to check the feasibility. 4 ) Preservation of the Old County Court House . Marcia will check on current status of this item , 5 ) Bicentennial Celebration - There will be a Bicentennial Committee meeting at the County Fairgrounds Saturday , September 20 . 6 ) Performing Groups in the Downtown Area - Mrs . Howitt was named to check into the possibilities of having performing groups in the downtown area on perhaps a weekly basis , beginning next spring . She is also to check with Mr . Michael Graycar regarding the possi - bility of using the Master Sinfonia for a concert.
