M } Civic Cultural Commission -3- November 20 , 1975 The Civic Cultural Commissior expressed its appreciation for the opportunity to review the first draft of the Landmarks Element of the General Plan and expressed a desire to again review the final draft of the plan prior to its submittal for approval . It was pointed out to the Commission that the various suggestions which they made would be forwarded to the Planning Director for their use in further drafts of the plan . Chairman F3uickerood then called upon Mr . Vollmayer to give the Commission a status report on the work being done at the Library in relation to the mural project at the Library . Mr . Vollmayer indicated that the work was nearly completed and that the Park Division would be completing the land- scaping of the area prior to the end of November . He indicated that if the Cultural Commission wished to proceed with the proposed project for the mural , he felt that the planning could now proceed . The Chairman reviewed , with the Commission , the past discussion concerning this pro- ject , pointing out that it was the feeling of the Commission in the past that a three dimensional mural , or piece of sculpture , could be placed along the wall where the new benches have been constructed and possibly could be handled by the competition sponsored by the Commission for the work . The Chairman indicated that this matter would be assigned for committee action at the December meeting . There being no further business , the meeting was adjourned at 10 : 45 PM .
