Weeks <br /> suggested that something might be developed in con- <br /> nection with the Bicentennial . <br /> 13 . Mrs . Poncia said she had learned that there is a model <br /> of Redwood City which had been made for the Redwood <br /> City Centennial which had been offered to the City <br /> but had not been accepted . Mr . Buickerood said one <br /> reason it had not been accepted was that the model <br /> was not to scale and the City did not have a place to <br /> store it , but thought is being given to creation of a <br /> scale model . <br /> 14. Might recreate the "Walkaround " which was done during <br /> the Centennial year . <br /> 15 . Mr . Dragan said " a Smithsonian Institution of the west " <br /> has been suggested . <br /> 16. Directory of cultural facilities and groups . Mr . Weeks <br /> said it requires a great deal of work to keep such a <br /> directory up - to -date and might not be feasible , <br /> Mr . Weeks suggested that the members give thought to the goals <br /> suggested and be prepared to select one or two at the next <br /> meeting , giving particular thought to a fall project of some <br /> kind for the downtown area - possibly one done by a traveling <br /> group of artists and craftsmen. Eventually , there might be <br /> a continuing program of entertainment and arts displays in the <br /> plaza area. <br /> Mrs Vollmayer joined the group at this time . He said the final <br /> drawings for the remodeling of the library will be ready next <br /> week and construction should begin in about a month. He re- <br /> iterated that he hopes the Commission will evolve a plan for <br /> a mural . He will bring a copy of the plan to the next meeting <br /> of the Commission0 <br /> OTHER : Mrs . Howitt reported that she had attended the concert <br /> given by the new San Carlos Symphony Orchestra and that it u = s <br /> very good .
