CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION Minutes of Meeting October 7 , 1976 Chairman Marcia Poncia opened the meeting at 7 : 45 , p . m . , in the Conference Room of the Community Activities Building , 1400 Roosevelt Avenue , Redwood City . COMMISSIONERS PRESENT : Marcia Poncia , Chairman ; Zelda Bergman , Kay Mears , Zelda Bergman , and Nicole McKay COMMISSIONERS ABSENT : Alice Kennedy , John Krueger , and Annette Howi tt STAFF PRESENT : Max Weeks , Director of Parks and Recreation ; and Mayfred Dawson , Recording Secretary GUESTS PRESENT : Karl Vollmayer , Redwood City Librarian ; and Government Affairs Program students Kathy Garrett , Jeff Richardson , and Dan Santucci Chairman Poncia opened the meeting at 7 : 40 , p . m . MOTION : Upon motion of Zelda Bergman , seconded by Nicole McKay , minutes of the meeting of September 2 , 1976 , were approved as submitted . CORRESPONDENCE : Various arts calendars and study course an- nouncements , and reports from the City Manager regarding the Downtown Beautification and the Historical Preservation Task Force Chairman Poncia introduced the Government Affairs Program stu- dents and welcomed them to the meeting . Mro Weeks said the Codes for Conflict of Interest have been completed and will be brought to the Council ' s next meeting . After they are approved by the City Council , thirty days are allowed for all members to fill out a disclosure form . AGENDA ITEM 1 - Discussion of Goals and Objectives . Chairman Poncia reported on suggestions she had received from Commissioner Krueger , He indicated that he would like to have a part in the formulation of a definition of Art and Culture . It was suggested that a letter be addressed to the Sidney Herkner Memorial Committee requesting that consideration be given to pro - viding funds for installation of the fountain sculpture which has been delayed for lack of funds . Mr . Weeks will prepare the letter for the Chairman ' s signature .
