CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> October 7 , 1976 Page 2 <br /> Commissioner Bergman suggested that we pursue the idea of <br /> sponsoring a concert by members of the San Francisco Symphony , <br /> but it was decided to stimulate public interest by introducing <br /> the Opera Lunch Program . Mrs . Sally Hartman has informed <br /> Mr . Nemoyten , Director of the San Mateo County Arts Council , <br /> that Redwood City would be interested in co - sponsoring such <br /> a program . <br /> After considerable discussion , the following immediate future <br /> goals were established : <br /> le Completion of the Library Mural <br /> 2 . Installation of the Downtown Fountain- Sculpture <br /> 30 Downtown Arts and Crafts Festival <br /> 4 . Opera Lunch Program ( Brown Bag ) <br /> 5 . Quilting Show <br /> 6 , Investigate use of the Circle Star Theater for a <br /> possible civic cultural event <br /> OTHER : Commissioner McKay was appointed a member of the task <br /> force for historical preservation which is being set <br /> up by the Building Department . <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 9 : 30 , p . m . <br /> CHAIRMAN MARCIA PON CIA <br />
