CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION - • Minutes of Meeting November 4 , 1976 Page 2 AGENDA .ITEM 2 - Committee Assignments for Projects : ( Copt ' d ) 36 Calendar - Alice Kennedy volunteered to make up a master calendar of arts events in the community so that appropriate dates can be set . 4 . Opera Lunch Program - This will be coordinated with Mr . William Nemoyten , Director of the San Mateo County Arts Council . The following committee was appointed : Zelda Bergman and John Krueger . 5 . Quilting Show - Committee : Annette How i t t and Marcia Poncia . 6 . Possible Use of Circle Star Theater - Committee : Kay Mears and Nicole McKay . Mr . Weeks assured the Commission that Staff would assist with the various projects . AGENDA ITEM 3 - Calendar of Events : See Item 3 under Agenda Item 2 , above . AGENDA ITEM 4 - Conflict of Interest Code Discussion : Mr . Weeks explained that the next step was to fill out the appropriate disclosure form . He clarified the items which must be reported . The GAP students left the meeting at 9 p . m . REPORTS : 1 . Sally Hartman reported that she has been working with Kimiko Jonsson with regard to acquiring a facility to accommodate a ballet recital by a 200-plus student group from Japan . They will perform on one of two weekends : March 26 and 27 ( also date of the Miss Redwood City contest ) or April 22 and 23 . It is a Japanese government sponsored program and part of their exchange program . 2 . Alice Kennedy reported on a meeting of the California Arts Council at Villa Montalvo . The Council had met the previous day in Palo Alto with Arlen Gregorio , The agenda dealt primarily with reports on endowments which have been granted by the Council - principally to schools , where they are paying artists to work with the district . Com- munity groups can also secure the services of an artist by paying at least 0200 , the rest being subsidized by the Arts Council .
