1 V <br /> CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> May 9 , 1977 Page 3 <br /> REPORTS : ( Con t e d ) <br /> 3 , Quilting Show ( Con. t ' d ) <br /> Quilting Show , to be held June 18 and 19 , 1977 . The <br /> Commissioners offered their support in the distribution <br /> of the information throughout the community so as to <br /> promote the Quilting Show as much as possible ° <br /> 4 . Sculpture -Fountain <br /> Mr . Meeks reported that the Parks & Recreation Commission <br /> had expressed an interest in a joint committee with the <br /> Civic Cultural Commission to promote this project . The <br /> Design and Development Committee of the Parks & Recre - <br /> ation Commission was assigned the task of assisting the <br /> Cultural Commission ' s committee for this project . Com- <br /> missioner Krueger , Chairman of the joint committee , will <br /> proceed with plans for future meetings of the joint com- <br /> mittee . <br /> OTHER : Mr . Vollmayer , City Librarian , requested support from the <br /> Commissioners for SI3--792 , a bill which is designed to <br /> support the library systems . He distributed information <br /> about the bill to the Commissioners , asking for their <br /> support. <br /> Mr . Vollmayer also indicated that the Library Archives <br /> Committee participated in a tour of the refurbished Fox <br /> Theater . He said that Commission support of this re - <br /> furbishing project would undoubtedly be appreciated by <br /> the new owner. The Commission agreed to further investi - <br /> gate the possibility of additional tours through the <br /> theater . <br /> There being no further business , the meeting was adjourned at <br /> 9 : 27 , p . m . <br />
