Operalunch : ( cont ` d ) who told her the downtown merchants were very inter- ested in having another series in the fall . Sally Hartman said she had contacted Mr . Buckhout , and also Mr . Nemoyten of the San Mateo County Arts Council . They indicated they would like to have a series in October and Sally . will contact him again following his return from vacation on July 13 . OTHER : 1 . Kay Mears told the Commission that she had talked with Mr . Di Pietro regarding the new shopping center proposed at the Port of Redwood City. He told her they would inform the Commission if they decide to have an art show of any kind , and that the Commission members are welcome to view the plans if they wish , 2 . Election of officers will take place at the September meeting . 3 . The Multicultural Arts Festival will be held at the Fair Oaks Community Center on July 23 and 24 . 4 . Mr . Weeks reported that the League of California Cities will hold its convention at Golden Gateway Holiday Inn in San Francisco September 25 - 23 , The Commission is budgeted for two persons to attend . Marcia Poncia and Alice Kennedy indicated their wish to attend . 5 . California Alliance of Arts Councils will have a meeting at the Golden Gateway Holiday Inn in San Fran- cisco on the 24th and 25th of September . 6 . Alice Kennedy announced that Friends of the Library have bought a Ralph Ledesma painting for the permanent collection of the Library . 7 . The Commission is cooperating with the San Mateo County Fair Arts Committee by acting as hosts and hostesses at the Floral Fiesta .
