Keckley , William Floyd , Tony Gonzales , <br /> Mary W . Henderson , Sylvester McGuire , Eugene Moriguchi , <br /> Herbert G . Petersen , and Frederick A . Soderer . <br /> MEMBERS ABSENT: Martin F . Mohr . <br /> STAFF PRESENT : City Manager Pales and Planning Director Schroeter . <br /> VISITORS : Maxim K . Rice , 1756 Broadway #8 , Redwood City <br /> Louis L . Knowles , 2369 University Avenue , East Palo Alto <br /> Eileen Gray , 950 Iris Street , Redwood City <br /> Dick Proctor , 1122 Hudson Street , Redwood City <br /> Don Newmark , 1405 Marshall ?/403 , Redwood City <br /> Dave Ransom, 435 Buena Vista , Redwood City <br /> Chairman Keckley opened the meeting at 7 : 15 A . M . <br /> On motion duly made and seconded , the Minutes of the meeting of November 10 , 1971 , <br /> were approved as mailed . <br /> The schedule of meetings in December was modified to cancel the meetings normally <br /> scheduled for the 8th and 22nd and to have only one meeting that month on the <br /> 15th at 7 : 00 A . M . All regular attenders are to be notified . <br /> Chairman Keckley considered appointing a screening committee to review the <br /> applications for the position of Community Redevelopment and Housing Specialist , • <br /> but decided to postpone action until the next meeting owing to the fact that <br /> only nine applications have been received thus far . A suggestion was made to <br /> advertise the position in the Spanish language portion of the Redwood City <br /> Tribune . Mr . Gonzales asked if 15 copies of the brochure could be made available <br /> to him . <br /> Chairman Keckley asked Mr. . Knowles to report on last Sunday ' s meeting on housing <br /> and taxes that was held at the First Congregational Church . Mr . Knowles reported <br /> that speakers covered the subjects of (a ) success in Darin County of the policy <br /> to require a percentage of new developments to be available for low- and moderate - <br /> income housing ; (b ) an urging that a coalition of housing groups in this area be <br /> pursued ; and (c ) a pitch for following the guidelines on mixed housing in the <br /> General Plan for Redwood Shores . <br /> Mr . Moriguchi asked if there was any means whereby the City could require the <br /> scattering of low- and moderate -income housing in Redwood Shores . Chairman . <br /> Keckley responded that the Council can make the decision on this in that they <br /> have already recognized the desirability for Redwood Shores being a mixed <br /> community . <br /> In response to a question, Mr .
