i r <br /> GOALS OBJECTIVES ACTIONS <br /> GOAL I : <br /> A sufficient supply of housing to insure a safe and sani- <br /> tary dwelling of adequate size and acceptable cost for every City <br /> resident . <br /> SUB-GOAL I : <br /> Maintain existing housing stock . <br /> ACTION I : <br /> Based on a comprehensive study, the City would undertake a <br /> concentrated code enforcement program, inspecting all housing in <br /> designated neighborhoods . The City would then cause the rehabi- <br /> litation and maintenance of deteriorating housing, Renters and <br /> owner-occupants whose dwellings require demolition or major renova- <br /> tion would be eligible for relocation and replacement housing , as <br /> well as relocation allowances . The City would undertake a code <br /> enforcement program when rehabilitation , replacement housing, and/or <br /> relocation are provided , <br /> ACTION 2 : <br /> The City would pursue all sources of low interest loans and <br /> grants for funding housing rehabilitation . The City would appropriate <br /> funds for the purpose of providing loan assistance and technical <br /> assistance wherever required . Such funding may be accomplished in <br /> part by setting up a revolving loan fund for homeowners and owners <br /> of low income rental properties . <br />
