IL MINUTES December 19 , 1973 HOUSING CONCERNS COMMITTEE 7 : 00 p. m. COMMUNITY ACTIVITY BUILDING Redwood City MEMBERS PRESENT : Mayor Keckley , Vice Mayor Henderson , Elise Johnson , Tony Gonzales , Eugene Moriguch i , Fred Soderer , MEMBERS ABSENT : Councilman Bob Norris , Rev , Bimson STAFF PRESENT : City Manager Fales , Ken Schroeter , Mike Riback , Jim Smith , Richard Rivas City Manager Fales reported to the Committee that the City Council on Monday had confirmed the appointment of the nine members of the Housing Subcommittee , Discussion then took place as to how the Committee would operate . It was agreed that staff , at each meeting of the Subcommittee , would take minutes and forward same to the Housing Concerns Committee and City Council . No specific instructions were issued by the Housing Concerns Commit- tee as to the operation of the Subcommittee . The Subcommittee is aware that they have two specific charges to carry out and that their task must be completed within 60 days , The first meeting of the Subcommittee was set for Saturday , January 12 , at 9 a . m. The agenda of that meeting would include the election of a chairman , determine future meeting dates , and participate in ' a tour of Redwood Shores area . Discussion then took place as to what the Housing Concerns Committee would undertake in the future and it was decided that no further meet- ings of the Housing Concerns Committee would be held , unless they were specifically requested by the City Council or the Housing Subcommittee . Mr . Eugene Moriguchi made a motion to the effect that seeing that Ricardo E . Rivas would be terminating his tour of duty with the City of Redwood City on January 30 , a proper scroll or plaque be presented to him recognizing his outstanding service s to the Housing Concerns Com- mittee and other City activities . Mr . Fred Soderer seconded the motion . 6 Ayes , 0 Noes , Meeting was adjourned at 7 : 20 p. m.
