Exhibit A <br /> Governance Structure <br /> Redwood City 2020 uses a two-tiered govemance model described below: <br /> Redwood City 2020 Leadership Council <br /> Role: Serves as the policy-making body for the collaborative, and takes action after receiving <br /> information and recommendations from the Executive Team and the Redwood City 2020 <br /> Executive Director. The Leadership Council creates vision, approves the <br /> appointment/termination of the Executive Director, approves the annual budget, approves <br /> program initiatives, approves monitoring and evaluation of program implementation, and <br /> provides resources to sustain and grow the work of the collaborative. In addition, the Leadership <br /> Council seeks resources and provides the forum in which issues impacting the community <br /> served by Redwood City 2020 can be raised and addressed in collaborative manner. <br /> Membership: Each Redwood City 2020 partner organization contributes at least $25,000 per <br /> year to support the collaborative and is entitled to have up to two members from the policy body <br /> of its organization to serve on the Leadership Council. These members should be elected or <br /> appointed directors, or have equivalent policy level responsibility in their respective <br /> organization. <br /> Struature: The Leadership Council will annually select a Chair from its members, who will be <br /> responsible for leading the meetings of the Leadership Council, serving as liaison befinreen the <br /> Leadership Council and the Executive Team, and working with the Executive Director to <br /> develop meeting agendas. This position will rotate among partner organizations on an annual <br /> basis every July, the beginning of the fiscal year. <br /> Meeting: The Leadership Council will meet four (4) times annually, in August, October, <br /> February, and May, from 9:00 — 10:30 A.M. at the Redwood City Public Library, Community <br /> Room. The Leadership Council may choose to have one of these meetings designated as a <br /> °joint policy meeting," in which the Redwood City 2020 Executive Team and Leadership Council <br /> will meet together. The Leadership Council may choose to convene a meeting of the community <br /> and program partners that work in Redwood City 2020 priority areas to share information and <br /> receive input about community needs. <br /> The dates selected for Leadership Council meetings for 2014-2015 include: <br /> Wednesday,August 13, 2014 f�om 9AM-10:30AM (Joint Policy Meeting) <br /> Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 9AM-10:30AM <br /> Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 9AM-10:30AM <br /> Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 9AM-10:30AM <br /> REV:11-06-14 MLG <br /> Page 5 of 8 <br /> ATTY/AGR.2014.240/Membership Agreement JGC 2014-2015 <br />
