The structural designer shall utilize the recommendations of the Geotechnical Engineer's report as furnished by the City. ~ Foundation Plans ~ Framing Plans with structural members located and sized ~ Details and Sections ~ Footings. beams, columns, and connection schedules. e. Mechanical: Mechanical Plans shall provide adequate information to ensure complete and accurate mechanical installation. Plans shall as a minimum include: ~ Plot Plan: Required for all outside mechanical systems and shall show all new systems and structures served. ~ Pipinq and Duct Work Plans: . Heating, ventilating and air conditioning system work shall not be shown on the same drawing with the plumbing system work. . Piping and ductwork plans shall be coordinated with the architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical plans. . It is mandatory that adequate space for maintenance including removal of tube bundles, etc. be provided. . Clearly define where all work begins and ends. ~ Elevations and Sections: Mechanical elevations and/or sections shall be shown where vertical dimensions are significant in the design. Sufficient elevations and sections shall be provided in large enough scale that mechanical services can be taken off without guessing at vertical lengths and fittings. ~ Details: Plans shall include such details as necessary to enable the contractor to properly fabricate. assemble and/or install equipment or systems as shown. Details shall be to a scale large enough to ensure clarity. Congested areas and racked piping shall be dimensioned to " provide adequate clearance for clamps, hangers, insulation, flanges, valves, fittings, etc. ~ Pipina Diaarams: Isometric and/or schematic diagrams showing the piping configurations, flows and connections shall be prepared to -9-
