EXHIBIT "A" SCOPE OF SERVICES Cannon Design Group (the "CONSULTANT") will provide architecture design review consultation and related seroices as described below to the City of Redwood City (the "CITY"), primarily for development projects within the Downtown Precise Plan area, but also for other development projects throughout the City, as needed. Tasks associated with this scope of services include: Task 1: Project Initiation CITY will provide CONSULTANT with development project-related materials, including digital files and architectural drawings in JPEG and/or PDF format and one set of reduced-size (to scale), hard copy printed plan sets. CONSULTANT will conduct a preliminary review of the project materials and any other publicly available information to assess existing site conditions and neighborhood context. CONSULTANT will also conduct a site reconnaissance to view and photographically document the site and surrounding context. The CITY will be available to answer CONSULTANT questions regarding the project and the preliminary review. As an optional task, CITY may request CONSULTANT to meet with CITY and developer representatives and designers to discuss and clarify the project. Task 2: Project Review CONSULTANT will conduct a review of the project plans and elevations to identify any issues and concerns that CITY may wish to discuss further with the developer representatives. Downtown Precise Plan Area- For projects within the Downtown Precise Plan area, CONSULTANT will review the project within the context of the Redwood City Downtown Precise Plan. A particular focus of CONSULTANT's review will include an assessment of the project's consistency with .the architecture and design-related Standards and Guidelines. CONSULTANT will prepare recommendations for project revisions, if deemed necessary, to improve the project's consistency with the Standards and Guidelines. All Other Redwood City Areas- CONSULTANT will review other projects outside of the Downtown Precise Plan area against any existing design-related criteria or requirements applicable to a project, as well as consistency with the General Plan and other specific plans, as required. CONSULTANT will prepare recommendations for project revisions, if deemed necessary, to improve the project's consistency with the existing criteria. CONSULTANT will prepare a review letter for each project. The review letter will be presented in a letter format with graphics utilizing the applicant's drawings as a base.
