I
7.1.B. - Page 15
These utility company comments will be requested within 2 weeks of the utility meeting and distribution
of the preliminary composite layout, Eight copies of the Composite Layout will be delivered to the City
(3 for the City and one for each utility company).
TASK 6—RISER POLE LAYOUT AND COORDINATION
In conjunction with Task 4, Consultant will identify the locations of the new riser poles and guy wires
based on the utility company utility plans and propose locations of the added poles in relation to the
adjacent properties, trees, driveways, sidewalk access and other adjacent property frontage
considerations. Since these are new vertical features the new poles will be a sensitive issue for the
adjacent properties. Consultant will notify utility companies of utility design changes necessary due to
riser pole location constraints. The first move-in of surveying will collect key existing items related to
the proposed added poles.
TASK 7A—65%JOINT TRENCH PLANS
After receiving comments from the utility companies, the Consultant will update the plans and will
prepare 65%Joint Trench Composite Plans. The plan set will include the following series of sheets:
Cover Sheet
Abbreviations&Notes
Overview Plan/Limits of Work
Joint Trench Plan&Profile
Joint Trench Enlargements
Joint Trench Conduit Sections and Tables
Joint Trench Details(Vaults, Riser Poles,Trenches, Utility Crossings
MCI/Verizon Relocation
City Utility Modifications(sewer,water,storm)
Surface Restoration Plans(temporary bulbouts)
Surface Restoration Details
Interim Street Light Plans
Interim Street Light Details
Staging Plans—Work Sequence Requirements
Traffic Handling Requirements
Sediment and Erosion Control Plans
Specifications
Overview Plans/Limits of Work: The above plans will be prepared with enough detail to define the
project alignment and costs, and to identify the modifications necessary to existing facilities. The
overview plans will show the project limit of work per the approved MUUD Boundary from July 2013
along with labels for Caltrans right-of-way. The Joint Trench on private properties has already been
designed by PG&E and PG&E is taking the lead to install all of the conduits on private property under a
separate construction contract. Therefore the limits of work for this MUUD Project end at the utility
company conduit stubouts at the back of walk. The MUUD project trench design will connect to private
property service conversion trenches by PG&E. The PG&E private service trenches are planned to be
installed during the City MUUD design process.
REV:02-24-15 VR
ATTY/AGR.2015.037/Bellecci &Associates-Middlefield UUD
