" <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote, Councilman <br /> Henderson abstaining on the minutes of the Executive arNr <br /> Session of April 24. <br /> Retirement of Melvin I. Moen Director <br /> of Buildings and Transportation <br /> Mayor Weymouth read a resolution of recognition of the <br /> 23 years of service to the City of Melvin I. Moen, re- <br /> tiring Director of Buildings and Transportation. <br /> MOTION : Resolution having been read, Councilman Henderson <br /> introduced it and moved, seconded by Councilman Leipzig, <br /> its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 7402 COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING <br /> MELVIN I. MOEN ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT <br /> The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote . <br /> Mayor Weymouth then presented a framed copy of the reso- <br /> lution to Mr. Moen and offered him the best wishes of <br /> Council members for a long and rewarding retirement. „, <br /> Mr. Moen accepted the framed resolution, stating that it <br /> had been a pleasure to w ork for the City and its citizens <br /> during his career. <br /> Appointments to Boards and Commissions <br /> Councilman Henderson reported on Council interviews of <br /> applicants for appointment to the terms now commencing <br /> on the Park and Recreation Commission and the Civic <br /> Cultural Commission, noting the willingness of many <br /> talented citizens to serve the City. <br /> MOTION : Councilman Henderson moved, seconded by Council- <br /> man Rhodes, that the following appointments be made for <br /> full four-year terms commencing immediately : <br /> Park and Recreation Commission <br /> Diane J. Pound <br /> Gray A. Wilson <br /> Miesje A. Aldrich <br /> Civic Cultural Commission <br /> moo <br /> Marcia E. Poncia <br /> Alice M.
