rte .. <br /> 373 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 7411 DECLARING CERTAIN DESCRIBED <br /> CITY-OWNED REAL PROPERTY SURPLUS; AND AUTHORIZING <br /> SALE THEREOF <br /> The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote. <br /> Acquisition of additional capacity, <br /> SCSP Wastewater Treatment Facility <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report regarding the <br /> provision for additional plant capacity allowable to <br /> the Port through the City ' s membership in the SCSP, ob- <br /> serving that the Board of Port Commissioners will appro- <br /> priate the sum of $500,000 for the additional capacity. <br /> Council members commended the Port Board for their fore- <br /> sight in acquiring the plant capacity which will be re- <br /> quired to meet the needs of expanded Port development. <br /> MOTION: Title having been read, Councilman Leipzig in- <br /> troduced the following resolution and moved , seconded <br /> by Councilman Barrett, its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 7412 entitled : CONCURRENT RESOLUTION <br /> OF THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE BOARD OF PORT <br /> COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY PROVIDING <br /> FOR THE EXCLUSIVE OWNERSHIP AND USE BY THE PORT OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY, AND ESTABLISHING TERMS AND CONDITIONS <br /> RELATING THERETO, OF HEREIN SPECIFIED TREATMENT <br /> CAPACITY IN CERTAIN PROPOSED SANITARY SEWERAGE <br /> TREATMENT FACILITIES <br /> u . <br /> The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote. <br /> Clean Water Grants - opposition to roposed <br /> condition restricting use of facilities <br /> City Manager Fales referred to the communication dated <br /> April 30, 1975 received today and distributed to Council <br /> this evening from the State Water Resources Control <br /> Board cancelling a hearing concerning possible detri- <br /> mental air quality impacts of clean water grants. <br /> Mr. Fales referred to his reports of May 2 and April 29, <br /> 1975 regarding the proposed construction of new SCSP <br /> multi-jurisdictional wastewater treatment facility and <br /> recommended that no capacity should be constructed in <br /> the facility on a non-grant funded basis (applies to <br /> capacity for the Port of Redwood City, the undeveloped <br /> portion of the Redwood Peninsula and the Emerald Lake <br /> Hills area) and that no Clean Water grant should be <br /> accepted for the purpose of constructing the subject <br /> wastewater treatment facility. <br /> Discussion followed and Mr. Fales commented and replied <br /> to question concerning the content of his reports with <br /> regard to the completely unacceptable condition on <br /> Clean Water grants restricting use of sanitary sewerage <br /> facilities. Comment was also made concerning the de- <br /> sirability of writing letters to those agencies which <br /> -6- <br /> Reg.Mtg. <br /> 5/12/75 <br />
