rte .. 373 RESOLUTION NO. 7411 DECLARING CERTAIN DESCRIBED CITY-OWNED REAL PROPERTY SURPLUS; AND AUTHORIZING SALE THEREOF The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote. Acquisition of additional capacity, SCSP Wastewater Treatment Facility City Manager Fales referred to his report regarding the provision for additional plant capacity allowable to the Port through the City ' s membership in the SCSP, ob- serving that the Board of Port Commissioners will appro- priate the sum of $500,000 for the additional capacity. Council members commended the Port Board for their fore- sight in acquiring the plant capacity which will be re- quired to meet the needs of expanded Port development. MOTION: Title having been read, Councilman Leipzig in- troduced the following resolution and moved , seconded by Councilman Barrett, its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 7412 entitled : CONCURRENT RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY PROVIDING FOR THE EXCLUSIVE OWNERSHIP AND USE BY THE PORT OF REDWOOD CITY, AND ESTABLISHING TERMS AND CONDITIONS RELATING THERETO, OF HEREIN SPECIFIED TREATMENT CAPACITY IN CERTAIN PROPOSED SANITARY SEWERAGE TREATMENT FACILITIES u . The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote. Clean Water Grants - opposition to roposed condition restricting use of facilities City Manager Fales referred to the communication dated April 30, 1975 received today and distributed to Council this evening from the State Water Resources Control Board cancelling a hearing concerning possible detri- mental air quality impacts of clean water grants. Mr. Fales referred to his reports of May 2 and April 29, 1975 regarding the proposed construction of new SCSP multi-jurisdictional wastewater treatment facility and recommended that no capacity should be constructed in the facility on a non-grant funded basis (applies to capacity for the Port of Redwood City, the undeveloped portion of the Redwood Peninsula and the Emerald Lake Hills area) and that no Clean Water grant should be accepted for the purpose of constructing the subject wastewater treatment facility. Discussion followed and Mr. Fales commented and replied to question concerning the content of his reports with regard to the completely unacceptable condition on Clean Water grants restricting use of sanitary sewerage facilities.
