Mayor Weymouth <br /> advised that the Study Session is not a public hearing, <br /> but that members of the audience may speak through the <br /> Chair after Council consideration of each item. <br /> Parks and Recreation - Accounts Nos. 701, 710, <br /> 730, 750 (pp yb-89) <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of June 6, 1975 <br /> attaching information requested by Council, noting that <br /> the Director of Parks and Recreation had provided a memo- <br /> randum regarding possible areas of budget and service re- <br /> ductions in his department. <br /> Reduction of Seasonal Parttime Maintenance Personnel <br /> Mr. Fales read the portion of the attachment to his <br /> June 2, 1975 report concerning the subject reduc- <br /> tion of personnel. <br /> Discussion followed concerning the reduction in <br /> standards and services which must accompany any <br /> budget cut; the fact that most of the parttime <br /> employees work less than one-half time, and that <br /> such employees do not qualify for any fringe bene- <br /> fits; the fact that most of the jobs are held by <br /> Budget <br /> Study <br /> Session <br /> 6/7/75 <br />
