Keckley <br /> It was observed that Council was very pleased to have re- <br /> ceived applications for appointments from 35 well-qualified <br /> applicants whose interest and willingness to serve the <br /> community deserves commendation and that selection from <br /> among them was not easy. <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote . <br /> (MINUTE ORDER NO. 75-111) <br /> In response to question, City Attorney Schricker advised <br /> that if newly appointed Planning Commissioner Schenck were <br /> present at the Planning Commission meeting on June 17, <br /> 1975, he could probably vote later on matters discussed <br /> at that time, although he cannot take part in the actions <br /> of the Planning Commission until he takes his seat and <br /> ten days have elapsed following his filing of Form 716- <br /> Statement of Economic Interests required by the Moscone <br /> Act. <br /> Presentation of Bicentennial Flag <br /> Deputy Director of Public Works-Operations Mitchell, <br /> Chairman of the Redwood City Bicentennial Committee, pre- <br /> sented the Bicentennial Flag which is to be flown daily <br /> in the Bicentennial Year. Mr. Mitchell advised the Com- <br /> mittee would also like to fly smaller Bicentennial flags <br /> throughout the City at various City facilities. <br /> Mr. Mitchell invited all citizens to participate, ob- <br /> serving all interested persons are welcome to join his <br /> committee . He advised that there has been excellent <br /> participation by service clubs and other groups already <br /> contacted. <br /> Mayor Weymouth accepted the Bicentennial Flag with thanks <br /> from the Council and advised it will be flown at City <br /> Hall as part of City recognition of the 200th anniversary <br /> of the American Revolution. <br /> -2- <br /> Reg.Mtg. <br /> 6/16/75 <br />
