Keckley It was observed that Council was very pleased to have re- ceived applications for appointments from 35 well-qualified applicants whose interest and willingness to serve the community deserves commendation and that selection from among them was not easy. The motion carried unanimously by voice vote . (MINUTE ORDER NO. 75-111) In response to question, City Attorney Schricker advised that if newly appointed Planning Commissioner Schenck were present at the Planning Commission meeting on June 17, 1975, he could probably vote later on matters discussed at that time, although he cannot take part in the actions of the Planning Commission until he takes his seat and ten days have elapsed following his filing of Form 716- Statement of Economic Interests required by the Moscone Act. Presentation of Bicentennial Flag Deputy Director of Public Works-Operations Mitchell, Chairman of the Redwood City Bicentennial Committee, pre- sented the Bicentennial Flag which is to be flown daily in the Bicentennial Year. Mr. Mitchell advised the Com- mittee would also like to fly smaller Bicentennial flags throughout the City at various City facilities. Mr. Mitchell invited all citizens to participate, ob- serving all interested persons are welcome to join his committee . He advised that there has been excellent participation by service clubs and other groups already contacted. Mayor Weymouth accepted the Bicentennial Flag with thanks from the Council and advised it will be flown at City Hall as part of City recognition of the 200th anniversary of the American Revolution. -2- Reg.Mtg. 6/16/75
