Award of bid - surplus real property <br /> Assistant City Manager Smith referred to the Manager' s <br /> report of July 2, 1975 regarding the subject award of <br /> bid, and recommended bids be awarded as follows : <br /> Parcel A - James and Essie Jerrit, 1123 Clinton <br /> Street, in the amount of $1,820.00 <br /> Parcel B - Florencio Rodriguez, 1135 Clinton Street, <br /> in the amount of $1,210.00 <br /> Parcels <br /> C and E - Erno Balough, 1141 Fay Street, in the <br /> amounts respectively of $2,500.00 and <br /> $5,500.00 <br /> In response to questions from Council, Mr. Smith and <br /> Planning Director Schroeter advised that the district <br /> involved is a multi-family one and that while the number <br /> of dwelling units might be increased by the addition of <br /> the surplus property to the lots of those purchasing it, <br /> it is not now practical to do so; that the surplus prop- <br /> erties on which no bids were received will remain City <br /> property; and that the proceeds from .the sale of the <br /> surplus property will be turned over to the general im- <br /> provement district involved, if such a district purchased <br /> them originally. <br /> MOTION: Title having been read, Councilman Norris intro- <br /> duced the following resolution and moved, seconded by <br /> Councilman Leipzig, its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 7439 AWARDING BIDS FOR SALE OF CITY- <br /> OWNED REAL PROPERTY IN THE VICINITY OF INTERSECTION <br /> OF CLINTON STREET AND FAY STREET RESPECTIVELY, WITH <br /> DRAINAGE CHANNEL, BETWEEN ROOSEVELT AVENUE AND OAK <br /> AVENUE; AND AUTHORIZING CONVEYANCE THEREOF, <br /> The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote. <br /> Consent Calendar <br /> Councilman Henderson announced that the Annual Conference <br /> of the League of California Cities will take place <br /> October 19-22, 1975 in San Francisco. <br /> Councilman Henderson also announced that the Annual Con- <br /> ference of the National League of Cities will take place <br /> the first week of December and urged Council members to <br /> register as soon as possible in order to take advantage <br /> of an early registration fee which would result in savings <br /> of $25-50 for each registrant for the City. <br /> Request was made that staff provide all information to <br /> Council members as soon as possible for the meeting of <br /> the Council as the Board of Equalization for GID No. 1-64 <br /> to be held at 10 :00 a.m. , Monday, July 21, 1975. <br /> (Memo 7/8/75) <br /> -4- <br /> Reg.Mtg. <br /> 7/7/75 <br />
