64 # <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2 .40, 4.4, 5.4, 6.4, <br /> 7.4, 8.4, 9.4, 10.4, 30.5, 31.8, 31. 12 AND 51. 1 <br /> OF, AND ADDING SECTION 2 .39 TO, ORDINANCE NO. 1130, <br /> THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> RELATING TO THE DEFINITION OF FAMILY, FAMILY CARE <br /> HOMES IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS, SIZE OF PARKING <br /> SPACES, FENCES AND WALLS, SWIMMING POOLS AND <br /> ZONING ORDINANCE INTERPRETATION <br /> The ordinance was approved unanimously by voice vote. <br /> Legislative Committee Report No. 75-4 <br /> Councilman Henderson, Chairman of the Legislative Com- <br /> mittee, read the subject report containing recommenda- <br /> tions of the Committee regarding certain proposed state <br /> and federal legislation. Councilman Henderson commended <br /> City Attorney Schricker for his diligence on behalf of <br /> the Committee in preparing its reports and communicating <br /> the City' s position on legislation to the appropriate <br /> bodies. <br /> The attention of Chuck Cagney, representative of Congress- <br /> man Ryan, was called to the Committee recommendation of <br /> opposition to HR 4415 regarding Federal Funding of Union <br /> Activities and to the fact that Council members do not <br /> favor continued federal involvement in what are local <br /> public employer-employee relations matters. <br /> MOTION: Councilman Norris moved, seconded by Councilman <br /> Williams, to accept the recommendations contained in <br /> Legislative Committee Report No. 75-4 and that the appro- <br /> priate letters be written. <br /> (Recommendations are as follows : <br /> 1. Federal Funding of Union Activities S 957, <br /> HR 4415 - oppose <br /> 2 . Mailbox Location - Consistency with Local <br /> Provisions - HR 5083 - support <br /> 3. Prohibition Against Considering Appointments in <br /> Executive Session - SB 1 (Moscone) - oppose <br /> 5. Tax Override for State-Mandated Retirement <br /> Costs - AB 1029 (Bane) - oppose <br /> 6. Increased Subvention for Open Space Lands - <br /> AB 2222 (Bane) - support <br /> 7. Liquor Licenses for Civic Auditoriums - <br /> AB 2116 (Wornum) - support <br /> 8.
