Schellens Historical Collection <br /> Mayor Weymouth asked City Librarian Vollmayer to comment <br /> on the Richard N. Schellens Historical Collection which <br /> has been presented to the City Library by Anne Schellens, <br /> his daughter. <br /> Mr. Vollmayer gave a brief biographical sketch of the life <br /> of Mr. Schellens who was the City Historian and described <br /> details of the collection. Mr. Vollmayer advised that in- <br /> valuable information about the City and San Mateo County <br /> is contained in the 180 large well-organized binders and <br /> 27 boxes of uncompiled material presented to the City. <br /> He distributed interesting samples of material and photos <br /> included in the Collection, and observed that the Archives <br /> Committee which was organized last year will work with <br /> staff in organizing the Collection so that it may be used <br /> by the public . <br /> Anne Schellens thanked the Council for the honor being <br /> paid to her father both in the resolution of adjournment <br /> in his memory on June 23, 1975, and in the remarks being <br /> made at this time . Miss Schellens also expressed her <br /> appreciation of the work done by Mr. Vollmayer in accep- <br /> ting the collection. <br /> Reg.Mtg. <br /> 7/21/75 <br />
