150 <br /> MOTION: Councilman Rhodes moved, seconded by Councilman Leipzig, <br /> to authorize transmittal of the City's comments on the Preliminary <br /> Report of Solid Waste Management Plan for San Mateo County to the <br /> Solid Waste Advisory Committee <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote <br /> (MINUTE ORDER NO. 75-183) <br /> Agreement for transit operation 1975-76 <br /> (ServiCar of Northern California) <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of September 16, 1975 <br /> attaching memorandum from the Acting Director of Buildings and <br /> Transportation Mr Fales observed that his recommendation in- <br /> cludes 1 ) an 11-month agreement with ServiCar of Northern <br /> California for a $9 25 per hour operation and maintenance service; <br /> 2) a one-year extension clause, based upon the Bay Area cost of <br /> living index, and 3) clarification of insurance responsibilities <br /> It was noted that the $9 25 per hour cost covers both operation <br /> and maintenance and is not solely a salary figure <br /> Discussion followed and Mr Fales, City Attorney Schricker and <br /> Acting Director of Buildings and Transportation Balsamo commented <br /> and replied to questions concerning the references to automobile <br /> liability and public liability in the agreement, whether problems <br /> which might arise are not more likely to be administrative in <br /> nature and not to be included in the contract, and the desire of <br /> staff to minimize consolidation problems for the new County transit <br /> district. <br /> MOTION Title having been read, Councilman Leipzig introduced the <br /> following resolution and moved, seconded by Councilman Rhodes, its <br /> adoption <br /> RESOLUTION NO 7492 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR OPERATION OF BUS TRANSIT SYSTEM <br /> The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote <br /> Biweekly Pay System <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of September 11 , 1975 <br /> relating to the proposed Biweekly Pay System and attaching report <br /> and recommendations from the City Controller dated August 25 <br /> along with copies of communications from the Director of Personnel <br /> to three recognized employee organizations <br /> MOTION Title having been read, Councilman Barrett introduced the <br /> following ordinance and moved, seconded by Councilman Leipzig, its <br /> approval • <br /> ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 2.26 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO ESTABLISHMENT OF A BIWEEKLY PAY <br /> PERIOD <br /> The ordinance was approved unanimously by voice vote <br /> -6- <br /> Reg Mtg <br /> 9/22/75 <br />
