156 1' ' <br /> (See Pg 165) Mr Davis then introduced other Ambassadors present Les Riddell , <br /> Executive Vice President of the Chamber, Tony Goodsite, his assistant, <br /> Vince Truscelli , Betty Caceres, Donna Black, Hal Goldberg, and <br /> Councilman Marguerite Leipzig , <br /> Mayor Weymouth thanked the Ambassadors for their visit and expressed <br /> I <br /> the appreciation of Council members for the work they do for the <br /> City and their community <br /> Application for exception to certain provisions <br /> of the Subdivision Ordinance, 1792 Valota Road <br /> (Hagan Construction and Development Company) <br /> City Manager Fales observed that consideration of the subject appli- <br /> cation had been continued from September 22, 1975 and called atten- <br /> tion to materials previously furnished by the Planning Department <br /> , to the Council . <br /> In response to question from Council , Planning Director Schroeter <br /> advised that the applicant has had an opportunity to meet with <br /> residents of the neighborhood to present plans for the proposed <br /> development <br /> Ed Berger, architect for Hagan Construction and Development Company, <br /> reported that a meeting of the neighbors of the proposed develop- <br /> ment had been held last week and drawings were presented Mr <br /> Berger stated that it appeared to be the consensus of those present <br /> that there were no objections to the development as presently pro- <br /> posed Mr Berger thanked Mrs Collier for arranging the meeting <br /> III <br /> at her home and for assembling the neighbors for the presentation <br /> In response to Council question, Mr Berger acknowledged that the <br /> anticipated price of the homes in the development is expected to <br /> be some $10-15,000 more than was expected when the application for <br /> a Planned Development Permit for the same property was denied by <br /> Council about a year ago (November 11 , 1974) and that neighbors <br /> now appear to agree with the Planning Commission with regard to <br /> the special conditions existing which permit a long cul de sac <br /> Sylvia Collier, 1759 Kansas Street, reported that the neighbors are <br /> generally agreed in favoring the proposed development of single <br /> family dwellings, although there were some objections to the <br /> length of the cul de sac <br /> Council members absent from the September 22 Council meeting re- <br /> plied affirmatively to the question of City Attorney Schricker <br /> as to whether they had familiarized themselves with the consider- <br /> ation of the subject application which took place on that date <br /> MOTION Title having been read, Councilman Williams introduced <br /> the following resolution and moved, seconded by Councilman <br /> Barrett, its adoption <br /> RESOLUTION NO 7498 GRANTING EXCEPTIONS TO CERTAIN PROVISIONS <br /> OF CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY--HAGAN <br /> CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT COMPANY <br /> The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote <br /> -2- <br /> Reg Mtg <br /> 10/6/75 <br />
