292 The motion failed on the following roll call vote : Ayes : Councilmen Henderson, Norris Noes : Councilmen Barrett, Leipzig, Rhodes and Mayor Weymouth ,040 MOTION: Councilman Barrett moved, seconded by Council- man Rhodes, to reverse the decision of the Planning Commission and grant the requested variance with regard to the garage at 2)48 Hudson Street, the following findings having been made : 1. There are special circumstances applicable to the property in that the surrounding properties all have garages located in simi- lar positions on their lots; 2. No grant of special privilege is made in that surrounding properties have similar construc- t tion as to garage location; and 3. Granting of variance is not contrary to the intent of the zoning ordinance in that the proposed location of the garage will be con- sistent, rather than inconsistent, with surrounding properties.
