307
Oral Communications (continued)
1. continued
to adequate open space; and the fact that the
row present relatively unusable condition of Stulsaft
Park appears to cause it to be used for undesirable
imms activities.
Mr. Crevelt recommended a use survey be made of the
present use of the park.
2. Maggie Gunn, 1923 Hull Avenue, of Save Recreational
Land Committee, stated she lives near Stulsaft Park
and that she supports the views of Bradford Bosch
(see above, page 7) . Mrs. Gunn suggested that money
might be saved if Stulsaft is restored to its natural
state rather than developed as planned, with the
saving to be used for acquisition of more recrea-
tional park sites. Mrs. Gunn advised she believes
the Santa Clara Avenue school site will again be
discussed by the School District and urged the
City to acquire it.
In response to questions, City Manager Fales ad-
vised that top priority areas for parks are the
crowded Middlefield Road area and the Woodside
Road area, adding that the waterfront park may
possibly be developed with regional assistance
i_ since it would serve an area greater than the
City.
Iwo Desire was expressed for a summary of the funds
spent on City park acquisition and development
program, particularly with regard to the large
amounts expended within the past five years.
Executive Session -
Adjournment in memory of Henry A. BEEGER
Mayor Weymouth called attention to the outstanding ser-
vice Henry Beeger gave to his community in many capacities
over the years.
ram The motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.
Mayor Weymouth announced the Council would reconvene
solely for the purpose of adjourning.
The Council adjourned to executive session at 11 :25 p.m.
-10-
Reg.Mtg.
2/24/75
