M/S: Britschgi/Stangel to ask the Planning Commission to review the matter of uses permitted in a commercially zoned area and to tailor the provisions relating to the zone to allow only commercial use. Mayor Biagi stated that he has discussed the matter of a joint meeting of the City Council and the Port Commission with Port Board Chairman Dragan who will attempt to arrange such a meeting in June. 5. In response to question of Councilman Britschgi regarding whether the extension of Holly Street project is behind schedule, Director of Public Works Addiego advised that the matter has been called to the attention of the contractor, and a new schedule has been submitted with an August completion date. Mr. Addiego said that the project is being monitored closely. 6. Councilman Leipzig requested that the Planning Commission be reminded of the Council request that the zoning designation of lands east of Bayshore Freeway be changed from "Tidal Plain" District to "Urban Reserve" District in the Zoning Ordinance, not just in the General Plan. mri Planning Director Schroeter said he will bring the assignment to the attention of the Planning Commission. City Manager Fales asked that the Agenda of the forthcoming joint meeting of the Council and Port Board include an item that through the planning process a common plan be adopted for the Port area defining Port and City jurisdiction. Mr. Fales said it is necessary to draft policies regarding land use, jurisdiction etc. to avoid future) problems which may occur. 8. Councilmen Bury and Leipzig requested a tour of the South Bayside System Authority be arranged for Council members, possibly at about 6:00 p.m. on a Monday evening preceding a Council meeting. City Manager Fales said he would do so. 9. Mayor Biagi reported that the 49er Football Team members have indicated they would like to contribute to the George L. Garrett Memorial Fund by participating in a benefit baseball game with the Police Department. The game has been arranged and is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. , Sunday, June 14, 1981 at Hawes Park.
