Public Hearing - Planning Commission Planning Commission record transmitted 9/8/81 <br /> Resolution of Intention to amend the Zoning road <br /> Ordinance relating to Architectural Permits Mayor Biagi declared open 7:36 p.m. <br /> for single and two-family dwellings <br /> Affidavit of Publication of Notice of Hearing <br /> reported on file. <br /> Mayor Biagi invited anyone present who wished <br /> to speak to do so. No one wished to speak. <br /> M/S: Leipzig/Stangel to close the public <br /> hearing. <br /> Carried unanimously by voice vote and public <br /> hearing closed at 7:38 p.m. <br /> Discussion followed and City Manager Fales, <br /> Planning Director Schroeter and City Attorney <br /> Schricker commented and replied to questions <br /> concerning the requirements of the new State <br /> law and the fact that architectural controls <br /> on "mobilehomes on permanent foundations" may <br /> not go beyond consideration of siding <br /> material, roofing material and roof overhang, <br /> although certain areas may be designated as <br /> inappropriate for such homes but no criteria <br /> is provided as the basis for designation. <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 45.2 OF ORDINANCE Title read. M/S: Stangel/Leipzig <br /> NO. 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, <br /> RELATING TO ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL OF SINGLE- ORDINANCE approved for first reading <br /> FAMILY DWELLINGS unanimously by roll call vote. <br /> 3. Public Hearing - Application for Conditional Report of City Manager 9/24/81 <br /> Variance to allow installation of driveway Report of Director of Public Works 8/20/81 ftwi <br /> approach in accordance with Sec. 29.29 of <br /> the Municipal Code, 1561 Kentfield Avenue - Mayor Biagi declared open at 7:52 p.m. <br /> Harry F. Ritchie, applicant <br /> City Clerk Hildebrand reported that written <br /> notice of the public hearing was sent to the <br /> applicant. <br /> Harry F. Ritchie, applicant, owner of the <br /> property at 1561 Kentfield, stated that since <br /> staff has no authority to grant the curb cut <br /> for driveway installation which he has <br /> requested, he is applying to Council for <br /> permission to do so in accordance with the <br /> relevant section (Sec. 29.29) of the Code. <br /> Discussion followed and Mr. Ritchie, City <br /> Manager Fales, City Attorney Schricker, and <br /> Director of Public Works Addiego commented <br /> and replied to questions concerning Code <br /> requirements and Mr. Ritchie's desire to <br /> install a driveway. <br /> CONSENSUS: Mayor Biagi determined it to be <br /> the consensus of Council that consideration <br /> of the application for Conditional Variance <br /> to allow installation of a driveway approach <br /> at 1561 Kentfield Avenue (Harry F.
