 7 3
AGENDA (continued) ACTION TAKEN (continued)
PUBLIC HEARING PUBLIC HEARING (continued)
Item No. 1 (continued) width of the street is adequate for turning
radius. Planning Director Schroeter
responded to questions regarding off-street
parking requirements in the Zoning Ordinance.
Mayor Biagi invited anyone who wished to do
so to speak at this time. No one wished to
do so.
M/S: Bury/Britschgi to close the public
hearing.
Carried unanimously by voice vote and public
hearing closed at 8:03 p.m.
M/S: Chandler/Stangel to grant the request
of Harry F. Ritchie for a Conditional
Variance to allow installation of driveway
approach at 1561 Kentfield Avenue.
AMENDMENT: On the advice of City Attorney
Schricker, Councilman Chandler with the
concurrence of Vice Mayor Stangel added that
the motion is based on findings of the
Council that the historical condition of the
premises supports the granting of the
Variance in that the presumed carport has
been converted prior to the Zoning Ordinance
which requires off-street parking for those
premises; also that granting of the Variance
will not be granting a special privilege in
that other premises in the area, apparently
likewise historically, had garage areas
IMO converted to uses other than garage purposes
and have been served by curb openings, and
also in support on the basis of safety
considerations, that the street is relatively
narrow and removal of vehicles from on-street
parking would enhance the safety of traffic
flow in the area.
The motion as amended carried unanimously by
roll call vote.
MINUTE ORDER NO. 81-161
REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS
None None
REPORTS OF CITY MANAGER REPORTS OF CITY MANAGER
2.
